Dear Friends,
I am pleased to welcome you to the Caspian-Alpine Society website. My name is Maryam Gulamova Karabekiroglu, and I am the Chairperson of this organization, established in Zurich with the goal of strengthening ties between Azerbaijan and Switzerland. Our mission is to serve as an intellectual bridge between the Alpine region and the Caspian Basin, creating a platform for open dialogue and cooperation in various fields: political, economic, social, and cultural.
The creation of the Caspian-Alpine Society was driven by the desire for mutually beneficial cooperation between two countries with deep historical, economic, and cultural traditions. Living in Switzerland and observing how stability and innovation are valued here, we felt an acute need to promote a deeper understanding and support of Azerbaijan—a country with tremendous potential in fields such as energy, transport, and culture. Our goal is to show our Swiss partners that Azerbaijan is not only a dynamically developing country but also a reliable partner for building long-term relationships.
As an organization, we strive not only for in-depth research and analysis of political and economic issues but also for creating opportunities for real interaction. The Caspian-Alpine Society organizes integration projects, public surveys, and conferences that help unlock the potential of our compatriots in the diaspora and support their integration into Swiss society. We believe that participation in the intellectual discourse of the country of residence is the key to being heard and recognized.
Today, Azerbaijan is actively studied by various think tanks around the world, and it is important for us to convey to the Swiss public that our country is open to new technologies and cooperation. In a world of global turbulence and constant crises, we are confident that it is time to reconsider old approaches and frameworks. Through our center, we aim to present Azerbaijan as we see it—an ambitious, self-assured country ready for constructive dialogue and capable of offering new rules in the international arena.
We understand that our path is not easy, but we are determined to move forward. In a world where new challenges arise every day, our goal is to be at the forefront of processes that are reshaping the landscape of international relations. That is why we invite to cooperate all those who share our views on the need for dialogue, mutual understanding, and the creation of a more harmonious world.
We will be glad to count you among our partners, friends, and like-minded people, and we hope you will find useful information on our website about our activities and opportunities for cooperation.
Sincerely,
Maryam Gulamova Karabekiroglu
Chairperson of the Caspian-Alpine Society
